If you define death to be the absence of life...

Please define "life".
As you said, without a clear cut defintion... discussions on this topic will be pointless, unending, and completely opinionated.

Oh yes Alex, one more thing...

If you define "life" to be the cessation of physical processes, then my computer dies every night when I shut it off.
