Dear all,

Thank you for those spent their efforts in helping to choose a telescope. I have spent many a month trying to find an ideal instrument and have finally found something that will do me in the meantime.

Wanting something portable, I decided on a Helios star travell 80mm short tube refractor with an equitorial mount. This is virtually the same as the celestron 80EQ WA telescope.

It may not be a big aperture, but lack of storage space was the desicive factor. Also I can take this scope on my travels!

I hope in a couple of years after learning where everything is in the sky, I'll get an 8 or 10 inch Dob to upgrade to.

But in the meantime, this scope will do just fine.

Only one problem........there has hardly been a clear night, here in the Uk, for ages, and the prospects are not so good :o(

Yunus
