I live in the Sierra Nevada mountains, at Lake Tahoe, and am awaiting delivery of my new Meade 12" LX200 GPS telescope. The scope comes with a 26mm 1.25" SuperPlossl. Since I live at around 7000 ft ASL, the night sky is almost always either perfectly clear, or completely obscured by clouds. We very rarely have any kind of haze, fog, etc. There is no light pollution, except for the Moon.
What eye pieces should I purchase first? I don't want to rely on a Barlow lens, and prefer to purchase quality. I don't want an inexpensive lens, that would probably never get used. Anyone out there have ideas on this? Please list in order of preference.
Thank you very much,
Robert Koenig
