You know, I guess I must stop listening to these scope salesmen. They told me the Barlow are junk, and to invest in an assortment of good quality individual lenses. But of course! That way I spend more mula. So OK the Barlow's are a good way to go. I've been told to go for the 2* Apochromatic type. Is the glass quality as good as I've been told?

Do you have any thoughts on CCD's? I am considering getting the Meade 216xt. Though I was told to save my money, and purchas the 416XTE. I also would like to get the 616 Color filter system, but won't be able to if I have to get the 416. I have checked out meades web site regarding these items, and it seems the 416 should be adequate for me, though I would hate to buy it, then wish I hadn't.
