: Ummm, let me see here.....I am going to say yes, but not instantly....here's why. If you were outside of the event horizon and a friend of yours fell into the black hole, he would accelerate forever. You would see him fall into the black hole in sort of slow motion and he would fall forever....changing colors as he went, from red up to blue past blue to ultraviolet, all the way up to gamma rays and stuff like that, but the fall, to him, would be instantaneous. I also think that objects falling into a black hole accelerate to the speed of light, but I'm not sure, so if you were to go the speed of light, then time would stop for you. You mean close to the speed of light right? Obects with real mass cannot make it to c, can they? -Adam |
