Gravity Wave Shielding

I was wondering if anyone has ever seen anything on the possiblity of sheilding gravity from a object above it. If gravity is thought to be a wave and we can shield other types of waves, like light waves and electomagnetic waves shouldn't logic dictate we should be able to shield gravity waves? |
