Has anyone made their own electronic focuser? I want to make one for my Meade DS-70 EC. I would like to use worm gears if I can find one to fit the teeth of the existing teeth, otherwise I'll just use a small cog and hope the gear ratio is small enough for smooth motion. Can anyone help me out with a schematic for a simple 2-way switch to run the motor in both directions (perhaps a polarity switch?) from a hand control? I will probably use basic phone line for the controller cable (3-wire setup)and possibly want a potentiometer to control focus speed, and a 2-push button control for in/out. Any help would be great!

Smooth turning,
Ascension
