I do a lot of synchrotron work which means staying awake for 24 hours at a time and walking around at silly times in the morning to stay awake. The skys around the SRS are great for stargazing and I want something pretty much small enough to stick in my pocket for observations - Would making a 1.5 or 1 inch reflector be very difficult assuming I have to make the mirrors myself - a was thinking a mini tripod less than a foot high would do for support.
