Grinding with an iron tool happens a lot faster than you think. I use the formula S = R - sqrt(R^2 - r^2) where R is the ROC and r is the radius of the sag measurement.
It's now time to make your tool and you will want to be doing much of your grinding from here with the mirror on the bottom of the stack. Only grind long enough with the 80 grit to get the tool in full contact with the mirror and you will want to use the shorter strokes now that you are in the vicinity of the right ROC.
