Yes they probably are. Usually this type of dual speed motor is used for fan duty and does not have a great deal of torque. They will probably require a fan to push cooling air over the motor too. Do they have temperature rise ratings on the nameplates? Old washer or dryer motors work well for grinding machines but I would be very careful with a fan motor. |
