Nope. You are right, I do not believe in aliens. But I don't think spending millions to look for them is smart, even if I did believe in them. What would happen if we did find aliens living in on a planet orbiting Alpha Centuri (I know there are not any planets there, but bear with me). Ok so now we know. Wow. We can't reach them, they can't reach us (or if they could then why would we need SETI?) so what is the big deal?

This is coming from a guy who knows almost nothing about SETI, so this is strictly my opinion.
