WEll in my opinion money should be spent but in reasonable amounts. I do not agree with the previous post because if we detect ANY form of life not necessarily intelligent the implications are truly astounding: sucha discovery would mean that Earth isn't the only place that can support life and potentially life is a common place thing in the Universe. Just my opinion
