LX200 Gps Pointing Accuracy?

Hi, i just got my 10" lx200 gps, i had it out for the first time tonight and was wondering just how accurate it is soposto be. When i try to slew to an object using the gps it points in the direction of it but it is never right on (nothing in the eye piece, but not too far off). The moon for example always needs me to slew the telescope manually so i can see it. I was just wondering if everyone's is like this or if mine doesnt work right. It is hard enough to try to get the moon in view let alone a more distant object. Any help is appriciated, sorry for the long post. Derek
