Hi again everyone,

Has any one had any problems/recomendations about permanently mounting an lx200 12in in an observatory in hot climates, ie about 30 degrees C. I want set up the scope to be used in an observatory but was wanderring what harm is being done to the scope if its enclosed in a obs during the day hot sun etc. I want to use it out in the field as well and have read threads that the 12in is still portable. Any ideas on the size of the 14in scope and its portability.

Cheers,
Mike
