I Don't Remember Reading About Chakras In Anatomy Class :)

Interesting post (I agree with you completely until about halfway down.) What exactly is a chakra, and why do you expect they exist?

I agree that religion has been used to exploit people, but I don't think the government leaders (i.e. Constantine) were atheists bent on the subjugation of their citizens. It's a lot more insidious. I think the leaders honestly believed what they sold the people (The citizens should obey God, my nation serves God, therefor the citizens should obey me.) I think of organized religion as a headless monster. No one realizes where it's going or what it really represents, but it has a definite motion and purpose even if no one consciously realizes it.
