The words of wisdom are fine, and can be helpful. I was referring mostly to the actual story of the Bible, David, Moses, Adam and Eve. Jesus, etc. In other words, the supposedly real-life events of the book. Those are PURELY symbolic, as far as I can tell. If you just follow the underlying themes of the Bible, that's not really Christianity. Christianity would require a belief in the concrete declarations of the faith.
