Okay, we may never reach the ultimate truths of the universe, we may never know anything, but there is still "correct" and "incorrect." The earth is not flat. The earth is not the center of the universe. The universe was not made in six days. These are truths, even if they aren't ALL the truths. I could never claim to explain the entire universe. Bits and pieces are all I can hope for, but I'll get as many as I can.

I think we disagree over the purpose of religion. You seem to think that the purpose of religion should be happiness and contentment, independent of truth. If religion says "the earth is flat" it doesn't matter, as long as we are spiritually fulfilled.

I personally want truth, or at least as close to it as we can come. Religion is a reliable source of happiness, true. But it is an unreliable source of facts, which are what I value most. Why base your happiness on what is quite possibly a lie?
