Your mind consists of both a visible component and an invisible component. The visible component is your imagination, your consciousness, your awareness, not necessarily in that order:-).

It is or can be a classical computer using logic to solve problems and to judge the truth of observations and facts. It's structure is based on particles as opposed to waves or fields. The invisible component is based on fields, which are of course invisible. It is or can be a quantum computer. It can solve problems for us while we sleep. Or shot baskets perfectly over and over again when we zone out- that is, when we stop thinking and start doing things without thinking.

So sometimes thinking is inefficient.

But the point of all this is that feelings are how the visible part of our mind communicates with the invisible part. That includes will. Emotions are more like how the invisible mind communicates with the visible. So emotional people are usually more in touch with their invisible mind. And completely logical people cut-off access to the invisible mind. To say this more strongly with no offense intended, completly logical people are only half human.

I think the discussions of science versus humanities that we have witnessed on this forum can be cast into the guise of the visible versus the invisible mind in each of us.
