Physics Research In Utah Is At Expected Levels.

Don't forget about cold fusion, both the "high heat" embarrasing, repudiated version of Pons and Fleishmann (U of U) and the "low levels", acceptable version of Steven Jones (BYU).

How much science is done in a state is a function of a number of variables (number of scientists, quality of their education, amount of funding, time given from teaching to do research, etc.). I don't think the amount of physics research or other scientific research done in Utah is significantly different from what one would expect given the circumstances. Perhaps someone has some information disputing this?
