: : Is it not implicit in his theory that every trait that is present in an organism has a biological precurser? : YES (such a good point)

: An atheist can only explain the first DNA with a possibility model of the first amino acid: : A certain atmosphere (like carbon monoxide, methane, ammonia, and water vapor) : Then the right catalyst (like a bolt of lightning)

: But, the chances of something like that happening are impossible, and even if they did, where's the backup supply of amino acids to match up the would be template amino acid, AND how did it evolve into the complexity of life we have today (isn't that against the second law of thermodynamics)?

: The problem with creation is that you have to submit to God (so people just say, "one's as impossible as the other" which is true for some, unfortunately) :

Read "Climbing Mount Improbable" by Ritchard Dawkins or River Out of Eden or The Blind Watchmaker by the same and then try Ritchard Forteys' Life a natural history of the first 4 billion years of life on earth just to name a few.

God is a three letter word. God will do nothing for you because he simply does not exist.

The proof of the pudding is in the eating, a theory has substance when it has predictive powers and it works. You can pray all you like and cancer will still strike you down. Religion is for children.
