well, like, if a sample is taken from the riverbed itself during dry season, or sample from the relief bed which is usually grassy, i wonder what the cross sections would look like. yeah they'd be silty for a certain depth, but could one expect to hit dry samples at some depth? this is a river from natural mountain springs, which i miss living near, exp in winter cuz of its fresh water source when everyone else loses power/water during ice storms... The Falls samples sound fascinating. too bad i can't see your collection! hmmm. unless you have a way of sending scanned/digital photos to my email madamemac@earthlink.net ...hmmm. :)
