Richard: NO. Big-Bang cycles imply more or less same size universes. Only multiplication of universes as in Krishna's, or Linde's or Smolin's cosmology can yield exponential increases in the total amount of universe, both size and number. Presumably total consciousness is roughly proportional to total space. Greg: Somewhere I once heard of an experiment where someone died on an extremely sensitive weight scale, losing 3 grams of weight at the moment of death which was thereby attributed to the weight of the soul. I can't say as to the Truth of such a thought, but certainly life involves an energy potential greater then the chemical reaction that takes place between neurons. If for the sake of argument, we consider the soul to weigh 3 grams (any weight whatsoever would amount to the same thing), then the soul of all the Self-Awareness throughout the Universe received by God over the life of the Universe would equal an enormous amount of energy! One electron reaching the speed of light and turning into pure energy over the city of Hiroshima was enough to level the city! So the expansion of God's CosmiC-SouL due to the Harvest of the Creation of Life that He has Sown, would provide for an exponential increase in energy potential if He uses His CosmiC-SouL to initiate the Big-Bang. This would result in a subsequent exponential increase in the size and duration of any Universe that resulted therefrom, thereby providing a subsequent exponential increase in the energy potential gained from the Harvest of Soul through the Creation of Life during the life of that Universe. If God's Consciousness is proportianal to the total space, then this would provide a means for expanding His Consciousness, His Love, and His Truth, throughout the Eternal Void which lies beyond whatever expansion any Universe may realize, and the most efficient means to provide for said expansion at that. N'est Pas? Richard: Krishna actually suggests that the new universe is like an atom in the old universe. Are you sure the translator did not invert the message? Greg: The view suggested here would involve a journey in the direction of the micro instead of the macro, a thought I can only conceive of in cycles of the Big-Bang viewed retrospectively, which we will never have the opportunity to enjoy.
