Karma is like classical physics- very deterministic. But my concept of God is more like quantum physics- there is an elemant of freedom, of luck, of coincidence- which is more akin to western religion than Buddhism. Being fundamentally lazy, I prefer to have God shine the light on me than to do it all myself over thousands of lifetimes.

Could you discuss how Buddhism is fundamentally atheistic, at least in its original form and the form practiced by the Dai Lama.
