I don't agree capitalism should be thrown out the window. It has proven to be the most successful economic system when in a hybrid form. Abviously pure capitalism would be a mistake, but the United States is far from this, despite what most citizens believe. My personal feeling is that capitalism mixed with some socialism and other safe guards is the best way and I believe our economy is good back-up for this belief. If not capitalism, then what? Pure socialistic systems have proven to fail due to a lack of competition. Pure capitalistic systems have proven to benefit few and make life miserable for most. See United States during the industrial revolution. A hybrid system seems to work well for the United States and Most of Europe. Studying these countries also shows many systems with more or less socialism, but all with a capitalist back-bone. For example, Canada is more socialist than we are, and most of Europe is as well. Lets say England, France, Germany, Spain, and Finland for simplicity. Finland is much more socialist, but still not completely. So studying these countries we see a rainbow of hybrid systems, but no pure systems. One world government, democratic, EDUCATED public, and a hybrid economic system blending capitalism and socialism. But no matter what system, eduation is the key. The more education, the less crime, the more production, the more informed the voter, and the more technological advancements. Religion would have no role in the government, but freedom of religion would surely be a part of this world. Eventually religion would probably get very small, if not die out, as the world became more educated and less prejudice. For example, you almost need to be Christian in this country to fit in, while in the middle east you need to be Muslim, Israel Jewish, India Hindu. But under this system those standards would slowly be irraticated and the need to fit in would be lessened. Ultimately religion will fall when people are not raised with these varrying belief systems. It has been shown that a huge percentage of people simply adopt the religion of their parents. Eduation usually is the factor that causes the "strays" like me.
