A single stone through into a clam lake generates a wave.

Now imagine hundreds of stones through in the same lake at the same time. Isn`t this is what light is like, incoherent? A laser is called coherent light.

From a single source of light photons/waves are traveling in all directions. When they hit an object they are reflected off that object at all different angles.

As for particles of light, Yanniru may be right, there are no particles, it’s all waves.
The particle idea may be a real misconception of science. Think about it, something as a wave can travel at the speed of light, but a particle with mass may not pull that off.

A wave moving through space and time could be pictured like a very large blanket moving like a flag blowing in a stiff wind.
