Religion not only gave early man an explanation of the heavens, but they also took credit for It. When I realized "god" was a story my first emotion was anger. My pride was upset, I had been tricked. One night I concederd the thought that "god" was created to fill needs certion people have. For me the term "god", as defined in the bible, trys to capture the feeling one gets when staring at the stars, or watching a sunset, or stading at the top a mountain, ect... For me, "god" feels like a blend of awa and Love, mostly awa.
Religion sells this emotion to its members for a small price. The members give up there freedom, they become followers. They look to the religion for direction. This is the fallacy of religion, the heavens don`t give direction. In time (I hope) people will start bypasing religion, they will feel "the gods" directly, and follow there own direction.
