If the Taliban also forbade their children from getting medical treatment by Western doctors, should we respect their wishes if the child is dying from something that a simple doctor's visit would fix? Of course not. When people are suffering or society is in danger, society has every right to protect its citizens and even administer treatment to those who are harming those around them. If someone is ill, they should be encouraged to get treatment, even if that is a mental illness. What you wish to do is harmful to those who are mentally ill and suffering. Shame on you.
