They used to identify witches by "witch-pricking"; the witch-pricker would search the body of the accused witch for "witches marks" (common moles etc.) The ubiquity of such marks didn't deter them.

Pscho-diagnosticians have been said to operate the same way; the "marks" (symptoms) that supposedly prove you are shizophrenic or Asperger's or whatever are also so widespread as to make it a case of "heads I win, tails you lose"; it has been said.

What the list of so-called "symptoms" of "Asperger's syndrome" actually identifies is heresy to the world-view of the labellers; that is society creates deviance by making rules whose breaking constitutes deviance....

That you may find people exhibiting such dissaproved-of behaviours simply shows that if you want to dictate to people how you think they should be you may find you can find people who are not in accordance with your attempted apparent dictatorship say.
