There's millions of people who are mentally ill in the world. Is it so surprising that some ind their way on the internet? I suggest accepting that fact and treat them the way you would treat anyone one on the streets of Toronto at night who is talking to themselves and obviously mentally disturbed. If you normally engage such people in discussions then I think you should refrain from such behavior. Unfortunately our society has not found a satisfactory means to solve the mental illness problem, and the internet only makes that problem more evident to us all. It could be a hardwiring problem or software problem, but it is, I'm afraid, not a problem that anyone is capable of fixing on-line.
