In the spiritual realm there is no "good" or no "Evil". The spiriritual realm is pure energy. "Good" and "Evil" reside in the minds of humans. The wise writers of the bible, use this power to push (what they thought was) "Good". Magic and religions alike are systems designed to tap into the Energy.
Magic and religions try to explain the unexplained. The greek`s explain thunder by creating gods. Human`s have a craving for truth When Truth is not present humans will generate there own.
We are in a new age, the age of science. Science is based on truth, it`s theories are rooted in truth. As the roots grow, theries will change. At some point in the futher these unexplained things will be explained. In the mean time you could look to Magic for you missing Truth.
Phil, my humble advice to you, is to explore the current Truth, and wait for the rest. The truth you crave is all around you.
