Jacob Bronowski in The Ascent of Man
made the point that the atrocities of
Auschwitz were NOT the fault of science.
Albert Einstein has made a famous observation
about science without religion and religion
without science.
What about a third part of the triad
-- constitutional civil government which
includes "the Rights of Man" **** aka "CCG" ***

Juxtapose religion (such as the Catholic and Eastern Orthodox Church) and "CCG"

One gave us Hitler, Stalin, Pogroms, Inquisitions
inability to respond to medieval plagues, and lots of pomp and ceremony.

The other gave us traffic signals, liberty,
a social safety net, and pornography.

The Pope should freely admit my system is better.
