There is an idea commonly expounded by religious leaders and conservative talkers that liberal ideas should be examined very critically.

I agree.

Where we diverge is apparently that the same conservative leaders and talkers do not propose the "very critical" examination of their own ideas. They prefer congratulatory tweaking of their ideas, but wish to hear no statements like,"The emperor is not wearing any clothes."

Defending the faith is all about caring about the truth. Best wishes to Y'all.
