1. because the final explanation of everything can be expressed as a set of numbers, and because the explanation is self-consistent by design, we can use mathematics (which is also self-consistent by design) to guess beforehand the relationships that must exist between the symbols used in the explanation; and

2. because all truths about everything are expressed in the explanation of everything, then all truths about the explanation of everything are also truths about everything.

----------------------------------

1. Any language can be expressed as a set of numbers.

2. Who designed the self-consistency in the explanation. Is it God or is it Dick, and is it really true? Perhaps a false assumption. Godel would agree.

3. Why just choose a limited kind of math. Why not use every available kind of math? Why not, because all math is not self-consistent- much of it is contradictory. Certainly a false assumption even without invoking Godel.

4. Godel's incompletness theorem makes #2 as well as #1 impossible. If no consistent math system is complete, then there can be no consistent final explanation of anything, let alone everything. Math itself is not self-cansistent and complete.

All the assumptions are bad. Perhaps that is why Dick claims he is not making any assumptions (read sense).
