Robert,

If I could add anything to that list it would be that integral to happiness is finding meaning in your life. Finding meaning isn't altogether easy in that in comes in many forms and fashions. The happiest people are those who find meaning by participating in things that are bigger than themselves. That is, it isn't just about you, it's about doing and being a part of things that make you feel a sense of satisfaction that you are part of those things. This is why the journey is perhaps more enjoyable than the destination. The only exception to that is the arrival at the finish line, that is the most important part.

Heaven, in my view, is just that. It is the arrival at the finishing line. It is being committed to Christ in your life and then arriving at the finish line where you are in the perpetual state of a one-time arrival. Life is eternally and maximally meaningful in that state.
