Then it makes sense to familiarize yourself with GR and the predictions Einstein model makes wrt natural phenomena [pretty successful model so far]. Here is Sean Carroll's Lecture Notes on General Relativity. Chapter 7 has a section comparing Newtonian and Einstein orbits.

There is a great book by Edwin Taylor and John Wheeler, Exploring Black Holes, which introduces GR using solutions to Einstein's equations [Schwarzchild and Kerr metric equations]. All you need is basic calculus and good algebra skills. The two opening chapters and several of the projects can be seen here

Keep in mind what the purpose of physics is. Its to developed theoretical models which are internally consistent and successfully predict experimental results. I noticed in your paper you want to expose the 'myth of curved space'. Geometry is just a method Einstein used to model gravitiation. There is no requirement for spacetime to actually be curved. There is a model which is isomorphic with GR which uses torsion and linearized Einstein equations [I think Carroll talks about it in his Lecture Notes on GR {though to be honest I never went through Carroll's notes because I first did the Taylor and Wheeler book and am now doing 'Gravitation' by Misner, Thorne, and Wheeler]. This may not be what you were looking for but it always made sense to me to find out what works before finding a new path. Its imperative that the new path make sense and correlate successfully with experiemnt.
