You don`t have to wonder...just study a bit of entry level special relativity and you will find the answers.
What kind of "effects" are you hoping to study anyway with this experiment? If you`re talking radioactivity, it makes no difference wheather or not the substance is in a vaccum or atmosphere or buried underground, they all have no effect on radioactivity. The only effects that will be present, as far as I understand your experiment, would be relativistic effects like time dilation and such.
