heaven and hell
heaven and hell are believed to exist on 7 levels, im not sure about judaism and christianity, but islam infers that there is an "earth-based" heaven and hell, which are the "lowest" form of heaven and "highest" form of hell or more accurately the least intense versions implying that the "higher heaven" and "lower hell" are not earthbound.
the best way to address the scriptural accounts, i would have to assume would be using our own experiences as applied to scriptural philosophy.
for some background on my interpretations
angels(stars/gods/kings) of various levels of the heavens (levels of existence?) - the various "expressive" algorythms of the universe, "vibrations" or communicative energetic expressions of entities. for instance particular frequencies and wavefunctions may be considered angels. this would be correlate of "angels" and "devils" inspiring people to act, as action is the product of the various wave functions and intensities of the same electro-chemical processes of the brain. as well, material existence so far seems to be the composite/communicative wave functions of the energy that composes it. "the angels created the heavens and the earth as per the lord's will"
satan ("fallen angel", lucifer, sun god/angel/star/king, legitimate lord over life on earth except for man)- satan may be representative of the "energies" algorthyms that account for impulse or instinct, as the seven deadly sins are instinct-based. "satan's" motivation of its lifeforms is based upon the various levels of discomfort that serve/pertain to various survival functions(pain, appetite, insecurities/fear). these motivations were considered to be actually beneficial for the early life as they are responsible for the sustenance of life of "unintelligent" lifeforms.
** "burning" is very common descriptor of various types of discomfort, even freezing cold tends to feel like "burning" which tends to imply that sensation of the outside world is internally derived. that, the nervous system has the initial and ultimate impact of "how" or if something is sensed. burning is a very common descriptor of suffering in the "fires of hell" as maybe fires of hell refer to the particular energies(frequencies) that govern particular sensations.
eden- the closest account of heaven on earth, the inferences of bounty and plenty, the inferences of physical and psychological freedom and security, peace and prder, in other words man was happy.
the serpent, a spawn of satan, convinced eve to convince adam to "eat/take/touch from/of the 'fruits' from the 'tree' of knowledge". (it is a fact that primitive males fight over and accrue wealth and power over the rights to reproduce). in this case the "tree" of knowledge is the ever-proliferating system of knowledge, to not "eat/take of the fruits" would be a warning that to use and pursue technology would eventually cause "man" to be cast out of the garden of plenty. this casting out may refer to the imbalance of man with nature that has led to resource depletetion, wars, disease, famine and generally human misery on earth til the end of days, this is not so off the mark.
the knowledge that there is "more" is its own primitive motivation, thus people can never be content, thus never truly happy without having to take and overtake constantly of people and resources necessary for happiness.(gluttony, greed) the serpent as a spawn of satan i believe is more of a reference to the "devils" of life that compels us to seek power and pleasure at just about any cost, without consideration of consequences.
**interstingly enough, the portion of the brain that controls "primitive" functions and drives is called the "reptilian" brain with reference to its similarities to that of reptiles.
if one were inclined to ask what pleasure actually is, it may be interesting to note, that it is the merely "alleviation" of discomfort, as sex is the alleviation of the heightened discomfort of lust, eating is that of hunger and/or appetite, "feelings" of security (drugs and alcohol) as that of fears/anxiety. a peaceful state is one that is void of need, ultimately it is this state (existential frequencies) in which people are most rational and truthful and closest to "the lord"
this is merely an analog of the philosophy of heaven and hell, it is the most significant as to give access to the other levels, "the first step that leads to the next step." and interestingly enough it has to do with the acceptance of and honestly dealing with of a particular reality to be at peace as opposed to futility of fighting it and making your "life" hell, eternally "burning."
**note the implied causal relationship of eternity
reinforcing and only dealing with "sensation" may have the effect to train ones perception to only believe in what they can sense and their consequent responses, but those that can "find" peace in their lives without "reactive alleviation" should be able to "accept" the aphysical state, either way the physical state is widely accepted as a incidental illusion anyway, the truth of the matter is that you exist on an aphysical state, the undying state.
