I recommend the reading of David Bohm's thoughts on mind and matter in the following link:
http://members.aol.com/Mszlazak/BOHM.html

In particular, he suggests that particles like the electron have a complicated enough structure to be guided by wave functions. That is, in some sense electrons are intelligent or conscious, at least to the extent that an airplane or boat can follow signals in a global navigation system.

As a materialist, I have suggested that the information of the wave function is embedded in a global axion BEC which instantly provides a guidance system for the intelligent electron to follow.

How is this relevant to god and science? Good question.

Somehow I think that the approach to god from science is through an understanding of consciousness. That pursuit lead me to the axion condensate, which in turn provided for afterlife and a sort of frictionless completely organized heaven where intelligence can exist. No proof of god. But at least a means for the existence of such an intelligence
