Let me rephrase what you just said:
1. We have to quote something. I am not sure of why certain sources are deemed as more trustworthy than others, but the priests think they do. Who am I to argue with their intpretation of the Bible?
2. We have to quote something. I am not sure of why certain sources are deemed as more trustworthy than others, but the Holy Teachers think they do. Who am I to argue with their intpretation of the Quran?

Why do you question others of blindly following when you do the same? The problem that I see with your statement is this: "Who am I to argue with the them." Imagine any person in history saying this. Would we not still be trapped in medevial times at best?
I do not wish to offend you by saying these things and if I have I apologize. However, I must makes this point: if you heard something like the Girl did, but the person used a refrence you trusted completly would you not do the same thing? After by saying "Who am I to argue with the them?" are you not following the scientists blindly?
