Hi Phillip,
Phillip: "Thoughts, anyone?"

Phillip wrote:
"She went from disbelief to honest belief in a few seconds. The fact that Methuselah is in the bible overrode all of the reasoning she used to dismiss the account in the beginning. That both astounded and scared me. The issue I am concerned with is not the basis of her dismissal of Methuselah's Biblical age, but how readily and profoundly her mind changed with the mention of him in the Bible."

1) Was she intimidated by her past experiences with the bible patriarchy?
Mention of the Bible is sometimes a code for "hasty old ideas will be strenuously defended here."
2) Do you agree that Methuselah's age was probably recorded in Moons? We can determine how many years are formed by Methuselah's age of 969 you have a realistic age in what we now call a year.
