Are we still arguing as to the origins of the universe? Haven't you learned yet that while the pursuit of science is to uncover absolute truth it is never really attainable. The PURSUIT is more important than the actual unveiling of truth (in the grand scheme of things).

Sam answer this -

1. Can you, through science, prove the existence of God using emprical data?


2. If science were to test for the existence of God, what would its results yield?


The answers to these questions are not as easy as you would like them to be.


The bottom line is that Creationism has a base assumption in an existence of God which cannot be falsified or "proven" by science. Hence creationism is fundamentally flawed as a scientific endeavor. That is not to say that it might not be true, but out of the realm of science, and way the hell out of a science classroom. Stick to Sunday school debates!
