I'm not sure if God can be proven scientifically. You say evolution can be proven, because we look at past evidences. Marcoevolution can not be scientifically proven, because it can not be repeated in a laboratory. But you insist it is a fact. Therefore, you use past evidences for your proof. Since no one was there at the time of creation (except God), creationist also use past evidences to prove creation. So we are doing the same thing, which is looking at the present data, to try and figure out the past.

"The bottom line is that Creationism has a base assumption in an existence of God which cannot be falsified or "proven" by science."

Can you prove he does not exist? Here is an article about proving God. I'm not saying I agree with everything he says, but he definentally make some good points:

"Hence creationism is fundamentally flawed as a scientific endeavor. That is not to say that it might not be true, but out of the realm of science, and way the hell out of a science classroom. Stick to Sunday school debates!"

Then so is evolution. The assumption that the universe started from nothing cannot be proven by science. Neither can life arising from non-living material. These must have occured for evolution to be true, yet we will never know how they happened (if you assume they did).
