"1) Bin Ladin reportedly said a while ago that their attacks will continue 'until aggression toward Muslims stops.'
This weekend, someone attacks folks in a club who are being FRIENDLY with Muslims, and blame Bin Ladin's group."

Bin Ladin did not say that he would only attack those who showed aggression against him, but sinply that he will attack. Civilians (friendly or hostile) are, after all, who government tries to protect. It is the most efficient way of attacking. They are trying to terrify the people in order to sway the government's decision, and who better to attack than those that are nice to you. It just shows how serious they are.

"2) We are going into a vague war on "terrorism" with conflicting information such as that in 1).
Yet, the World Trade Center was attacked by 15
hijackers who are citizens of Saudi Arabia plus citizens of four other countries. Saudi Arabia's government is noticed in the past year dealing out
harsh anti-Western rhetoric. (In the past 100 years, the West has turned desert tent dwellers into very rich families by doing business with them rather than conquering them militarily, but apparently they don't like some of our customs and are not returning the favor.)"

One cannot generalize how the citizens of a country think but the actions of the government under which they live.

Warm Regards,

Phillip Martin
