That is the point of natural selection as a factor
...or,in our time, is the reason we should not be too hasty in our artificial selection.
In the case of many mutations, no effect is observed. BTW Sam is using the same method as Harv for possibly the same reason -- by eliciting our "comments" to their misconstrued interpretation of our prior statements, they harness our power of wordsmithery in the spirit of "research" ...and Harv, you know, said he is a "writer."
