How do we know that they are that far away reliably? Also I adresed this a while back if you want I had a whole spin off with StormCrow.

Unfortunatly I can't find it back in the posts. :-( But basically I said that right now the light thing is a problem, but if E=mc^2 is wrong then the promblem dissapears because light could have been going thousands of times faster at the beginning of creation and has been slowing down since then. After all light is affected by gravity, so it might also lose some of its speed after a while.
