Harv,

Even though IQ counts for very little, the fact is it still counts for something. I've read somewhere that a strict correlation has been measured between IQ and academic achievement, and I think it makes sense. I'm still waiting for someone to find a correlation between academic achievement and anything else; that seems to be a tough one.

The whole problem, as I see it, is that intelligence itself is way overrated. Chris Langan is the perfect example of an extremely smart person who achieved absolutely nothing in his life. In any case, I think the current skepticism about IQ measurements is missing its own point: if IQ doesn't matter, then why bother?

By the way, I posted my IQ some months ago, but that was only a joke. I don't know what my IQ is, don't want to know, and don't want to be near anyone who does.

Cheers,

Aurino
