My impression of Chalmers is that he suggests that consciousness is a separate thing because he cannot find a materialistic basis for it.

But you hit the nail on the head regarding the features of consciousness. If you would be so kind as to list the features of consciousness, I may be able to determine if a materialistic explanation is possible.

The features I am familiar with are the result of either a classical computer or a quantum computer or both, as I have previously stated. Both can have a materialistic basis. Are there other features?

Regards,

Richard
