>>>"Jesus wouldn't do that."

Do you seriously wish to contend that we have an accurate protrayal of the personality of Jesus? Our portrayal of Jesus comes after nearly 2000 years, primarily from a book (and a people) that worship him. Don't you think Koresh +1969 years, as per his worshippers (and a book as facutally pliable as a Clinton deposition), would be presented as a saintly figure too?

(Please don't play dumb, man of 63 screennames, because I know you aren't like the rest of the fundies who drop by here from time to time.)

>>>"Among (Jesus') strongest admirers are folks like Ben Franklin, certainly a scientist and skeptic, and now pictured on the $100 bill."

Thomas Jefferson was once depicted as an atheist by his opponents, because they did not appreciate his Deistic stances. Abraham Lincoln -- a figure a little more prominent from an historical perspective (and on a much more prevalent piece of paper) than Benjamin Franklin -- was among Theodore Parker's biggest admirers.

Whose side are you arguing, anyway?
