I respect the philosophical stance of theism, but I cringe when people elevate a philosopher to the status of God (or son of God). Are you doing this?

Countless men and women have spread their own personal philosophies, before and after Moses. Many have offered views much more profound and intelligent than those of Jesus Christ. But I don't see a whole lot of discussion in here about Confucius, Hypatia of Alexandria, Ibn Rushd, Karl Marx, Martin Luther King, Jr., or George Carlin.

Why so much focus on Jesus?
