I hate to admit it but you are right. Both in the original being in Exodus and that the Deuteronomy list of commandments is a reinterpetation with a positive rather than a negative slant.

However, I find it interesting that the first commandment given in Deuterinomy is not found in any of the ten commandments, and that the pronouncement that the Deut version is the most important is not one of the ten original.

Can you account for why god had a change of heart from negative commandments to positive comandments?
